Urban guerrilla, also known as an urban fighter, is commonly associated with armed struggle or insurgency in densely populated areas. A guerrilla who operates in an urban setting may also be referred to as an urban insurgent, city guerrilla, or city fighter. Other synonyms for this term include urban resistance, urban militant, and urban saboteur. The use of guerrilla tactics in cities can be particularly challenging as there is limited space for movement and combat. As a result, certain tactics such as sabotage, propaganda, and terrorism are commonly used by urban guerrillas to achieve their objectives. Despite the inherent risks and challenges, the urban guerrilla remains an influential figure in modern warfare and political resistance.
